REMIP is composed of six Working Groups (WGs) and 2 Coordination Committees (CCs).

WG1 is aiming that the staff in EEAA and RBOs related to air become capable of formulating and proposing countermeasures against air pollution based on the collected and interpreted data and information.

Working Group1

[Regional Air Pollution Control Management System Improvement

Project]

WG2 is aiming that the staff in EEAA and RBOs concerned with the oil problem become capable of formulating and proposing countermeasures against oil pollution based on the collected and interpreted data and information.

Working Group2 [Oil Pollution Program]

WG4 attempts to strengthen the capacity of EEAA and RBO staff in planning, designing and implementing relevant training in EEAA, guiding the production process improvement.

Working Group 4 [Production Process Improvement Guidance]

WG5 is aiming that EEAA and its RBOs become capable of raising public awareness to EMUs, enterprises, NGOs, and citizens through strengthening partnership with relevant organizations and stakeholders.

Working Group 5 [Public Awareness Raising Activities]

WG6 attempts to raise public awareness to the environment using a display which is being installed in Tahrir Square in the 2nd year. This is collected data by air monitoring station and is disseminated to people through the display.

Working Group 6 [Awareness Raising Using Real-time Monitoring]

Working Groups and Coordination Committees

WG3 is aiming that staff of CDECA becomes capable of planning, designing, and implementing training in EEAA based on the information provided by all other relevant departments/organizations.

[Sound Management of Hazardous Chemical Substances]

CC1 for the Hazardous Chemical Management Program is organized to realize the collaboration between the Japanese side and the Egyptian side to handle the target hazardous chemicals.

Coordination Committee 2

[Sharing Information on REMIP among RBOs]

CC2 is organized in order to share experience and information of REMIP OJT activities from leading RBOs to the other RBOs.
