Services
Activities & Services Provided by the protectorate:
There are two types of roads within the protectorate; paved roads (including the international road) and tracks maintained by the Ministry of Housing and New Communities. Most of the villages within the vicinity of the protectorate have access to electricity. These are maintained by the Ministry of Electricity. Around 30% of the protectorate has access to water supply and sewage drainage system. The Ministry of Irrigation and Water Resources is responsible for maintaining the watercourses and drainage canals in the protectorate.
The construction of the visitors' center and a building for accommodation was completed in November 2002. Equipment includes one car, two motorboats, a computer, a laptop, a printer, an overhead projector, a slide projector, a Geographical Positioning System GPS, a digital camera, some binoculars and a mobile phone. Informative signposts were set up at all sites.
