Global youth video competition on climate change 2016


Are you between 18 and 30 and passionate about combating climate change and raising public awareness?

The UN Framework Convention on Climate Change has teamed up once again with tve to launch a video competition for the best youth climate projects happening around the globe. Send an inspiring three-minute video in one of two categories:


  • Climate action: submit videos explaining how your activities have helped to address climate change.
  • Public awareness: submit videos showcasing your efforts to raise public awareness around climate change.


The two winners will receive the following prizes:

  • Round-trip travel to COP22 in Marrakech, Morocco, November 2016; and
  • Position as a youth reporter for COP22, responsible for assisting the UNFCCC Newsroom team with videos, articles and social media posts.

How to enter and Deadline

Make a three-minute video about your activities and submit your entry using the Global Youth Video Competition entry form.

The deadline for entries is 30 August 2016, 23.00 GMT.
