The Ministry accomplishes a vital role in establishing the institutional and legislative systems for the private companies that work in the field of solid waste management according to the national strategy for the Integrated Solid waste Management. Moreover, the Ministry has set guidlines for the governorates to assess and manage the private company's contracts. Accordingly, collaboration occurred with the governorates of Alexandria, Cairo and Kalioubya governorates. Moreover, a dump for the industrial wastes in the 10th of October city was established, pilot projects to rural waste management and hazardous waste management in Alexandria was set.

Registers were prepared for hazardous wastes for the Ministry of Agriculture, and the Ministry of Electricity and Petroleum. Moreover, guiding document were issued for the temporary restoring of hazardous wastes. Coordination with the American Company ABT is established to reach a privatization program for the solid wastes.

Hopes are rising regarding the capacity of the Egyptian man to face the various environmental problems that can be confronted with the positive conduct and the complete partnership between the government and the communities in order to reach a clean environment in the Egyptian society.
