On the international and the regional levels, the Ministry of State for Environmental Affairs has hosted many conferences and cooperation protocols with countries and agencies specialized in enhancing the collaboration and transfer of experience. In this context, there was a visit by the Romanian minister of the environment to Egypt, signature of the cooperation protocol with Romania and Ukraine and a collaboration strategy with Germany. On the Arabic level, a protocol has been signed in collaboration with Libya, Syria, Jordan and Morocco.

On the other hand, the Ministry of State for Environmental Affairs signed a cooperation protocol with the Italian Ministry of the environment to implement projects at a total amount Euro of 20 million where Italy will contribute with an amount of Euro 4.1million.

Moreover, the Ministry of State for Environmental Affairs will receive an Italian grant of Euro 43 million to implement the second phase of the Egyptian Italian cooperation program in the context of protecting the environment with the participation of Matrouh, El Minia governorates, and the Supreme Council of Antiquities and Water Research Center. One of the Italian initiatives was to remove the Italian debts on the local component for the implementation of the project.

In the framework of collaboration between Egypt and Japan, Japan signed a second phase contract dated 14/ 4/ 2003 to establish regional laboratories for the environmental affairs agencies in order to continue the path of valuable and constructive collaboration that included the central laboratory and the technical training in Egypt and Japan. If the Ministry of the environment is always concerned with facing the environmental problems, then man shall achieve this challenge for securing better future.
